About the challenge

Design Blitz is a beginner-friendly design hackathon! No coding needed - just flex your Figma skills and create a website prototype to present! This year’s theme revolves greater emphasis on the user experience, and uplifting your community!

  • Practice your UI/UX design skills in a design sprint context
  • Get valuable feedback on your work from industry professionals
  • Mingle with other teams and make friends

Competition Timeline

  1. Join us at the Opening Ceremony on Friday March 27th (6-8pm) at the Singapore Theatre, MSD, to form teams and unveil the tracks.
  2. In-person Hacking Sessions on Saturday (11:00 am- 5:00 pm) and Sunday (11:00 am - 2:15 pm) - Room 361, Arts West (Building 148A) will be open for teams to gather and design to their hearts content
  3. Submit your deliverables onto Devpost and Google Drive by 2:15pm Sunday
  4. Present your website prototype as a team to the judging panel and audience during the Closing Ceremony on Sunday April 13th (2:30 - 5:30pm) at the Interactive Cinema Space, Room 353, Arts West (Building 148A)

What to Build

For the next three days, you are going to spend time brainstorming, ideating, mapping, and designing a website interface prototype for one of two available tracks. See our Participant Guide for the Track Information!

What to Submit

  1. On Devpost - A link to your team’s Figma Prototype
  2. On Google Drive - One zipped folder that includes:
    • the downloaded Figma file
    • [OPTIONAL] Presentation Slides
  3. During the closing ceremony - 5 min Presentation (information of what you could potentially include in the presentation can be found in "Presentation Tips" in our Participation Guide)
